All employees who earn less than Dh25,000 per month will get grants if they move to a new house.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has called out to all employees of the Sharjah government to save more money and spend less.
The Sharjah Ruler called upon the employees to open bank accounts for children and introduce to them the concept of saving.
Sheikh Sultan’s call comes after his decision on December 21 to raise the salaries of government employees in the emirate by Dh600 million, and raise the lowest salary to Dh18,500 from Dh17,000.
The Sharjah Ruler added that designations of cleaners and sweepers will be changed to that of regular employees, in order to maintain their social position.
He added that all employees who earn less than Dh25,000 per month will get grants if they move to a new house.
